Meet Chip: A Nurturing Veteran of the Boer-Kiko Heritage

Chip, named for the distinctive cut in one of her ears acquired during her early days, is a cherished member of our eco-herd at Goats in the City. Born on March 20, 2019, she brings a unique blend of Boer and Kiko heritage to our community.

As a veteran mother goat, Chip embodies the nurturing spirit of her Boer and Kiko lineage. She is not only devoted to her own offspring but extends her maternal instincts to other babies within the herd, showing kindness and compassion to all. Her nurturing nature fosters a sense of harmony and togetherness among our diverse goat family.

Chip's exceptional productivity is a testament to her resilient heritage. Among the members of our herd, she stands out as one of the most prolific producers. Remarkably, Chip holds the distinction of being one of only two goats in our herd to have had three kids in a single birth—an impressive testament to her vitality and maternal prowess.
