Municipal2024 and 2025Urban Meadow Restoration — Toronto, ON
Buckthorn and other woody vegetation were beginning to change the structure of the urban meadow, while milkweed and active bird habitat needed to be protected. Carefully managed grazing allowed the Eco-Herd to target woody growth while our team closely monitored native plants and wildlife activity.
Municipal2024 and 2025Sensitive Habitat Management — Mississauga, ON
Vegetation around a sensitive wetland and pond habitat needed to be managed while protecting water quality, turtle habitat, and the wider wildlife community. The Eco-Herd provided a carefully controlled, low-impact approach suited to the conditions of the site.

Dense phragmites created a difficult vegetation-management challenge within a municipal natural area. The Eco-Herd entered the growth and browsed accessible leaves and stems, reducing standing vegetation and placing pressure on regrowth.

Dense buckthorn and other woody invasive growth required a management approach that could be repeated over time. The Eco-Herd browsed leaves and branches and, in some cases, stripped bark from the stems, placing additional pressure on the plants.

Overgrown shoreline and woodland-edge vegetation was affecting views, access, and playability in areas that were difficult to manage with conventional equipment. The Eco-Herd provided a quieter, low-impact solution while becoming a memorable part of the course experience.
