What We Offer
Our Eco-Herd can target invasive and unwanted vegetation such as buckthorn, phragmites, poison ivy, thistles, garlic mustard, burdock, and other site-specific growth. Plant preferences and project goals are assessed before grazing begins.
Request a Quote →Goats naturally browse leaves, stems, branches, and accessible woody growth. On plants such as buckthorn, they may also strip bark, helping apply repeated pressure to vegetation that is difficult to reach with conventional equipment.

Where site conditions allow, we use drone imagery and aerial documentation to better understand the landscape, plan fenced area placement, record site conditions, and compare progress over time.

The Eco-Herd gives people a memorable way to learn about invasive plants, biodiversity, animal care, prescribed grazing, and the relationship between healthy landscapes and healthy communities.

Our Step-by-Step Process
STEP 01
Tell us about the property, vegetation challenge, site size, location, access, timing, and project goals. Photographs and available site information help us determine whether prescribed grazing may be a suitable option.
STEP 02
We review the vegetation, terrain, water access, fencing requirements, nearby roads, public activity, sensitive habitat, wildlife considerations, and livestock-trailer access. A site visit may be recommended before a proposal is prepared.
STEP 03
We prepare a proposal outlining the recommended herd size, project duration, staffing, transportation, setup, monitoring, public-engagement options, and pricing. The scope is adjusted to reflect the site and the client's objectives.
STEP 04
Once approved, we confirm scheduling, access, water, fenced area placement, safety requirements, communications, transportation, and any client or site-specific approvals. Fencing and support equipment are installed before grazing begins.
STEP 05
The Eco-Herd is introduced to carefully planned fenced grazing areas and monitored by experienced staff. We observe grazing behaviour, vegetation preferences, animal wellbeing, site conditions, and project progress, moving or adjusting the herd as needed.
STEP 06
After grazing, we review the site, document visible results, discuss the client's objectives, and identify whether repeat grazing or additional management may be beneficial. Before-and-after photographs or project summaries can be included where agreed in the project scope.
