A Name Passed Down. A Spirit Carried Forward.
Thunder is more than the face of a collection. His name carries a family story, and his presence captures the confidence, strength, and character behind the brand.

Meet Thunder
Thunder was born on January 24, 2022. His mother, Gangster, is a Boer goat, and his father is a Saanen dairy goat. He grew into a large, striking black goat with four white socks and a presence that is impossible to overlook.
Thunder is gentle, confident, and naturally dominant. Within the Eco-Herd, he carries himself like a leader and is always ready to challenge Baba for his place at the top. He does not need to demand attention. He simply has it.
The Name Behind Thunder
Thunder was named in honour of Ian Matthews' cousin Novrick Matthews, known throughout the family as Thunder.
Ian grew up in Jamaica surrounded by family, including seven cousins and siblings and two grandmothers who were twins. Novrick was strong, funny, loyal, and always ready to help. He was known for his bow-legged walk, his skill on the soccer field, and the way he looked out for the people he loved.
Naming the goat Thunder was not simply choosing a powerful name. It was a way of carrying forward the spirit of someone who represented strength, loyalty, humour, protection, and family.

A Story That Came Full Circle
During the 2025 City of Toronto prescribed grazing project at Don Valley Brick Works Park, Ian visited Novrick nearby. It was a meaningful moment that connected the family story behind the name with the growing Thunder identity.
That connection gave the collection its deeper meaning. Thunder represents confidence and presence, but also gratitude, memory, and the people whose influence continues to shape what comes next.
What Thunder Represents
Thunder stands for the qualities behind the collection: strength without noise, loyalty without condition, leadership without permission, and a legacy that deserves to be carried forward.
The G.O.A.T. badge speaks to the familiar idea of the Greatest Of All Time, but the collection gives that idea a deeper foundation. It is not only about being seen as the best. It is about knowing who you are, where you come from, and what you carry with you.
The first Thunder collection brings that story into premium pieces designed to be worn with confidence and kept with pride.
